KNOW OUR LAWS! DERELICT OUR DUTIES! MODIFY THIS NATION!

SECTION 1.

We should know our laws for us to fully exercise our rights. Along with, we must know our limitations; "Innocence of the law excuses no one." More so, we must learn and discover the proper ways to fight for our civil liberties as a Filipino citizen.

SECTION 2.

We need to indulge and truly commit ourselves to contribute for the development of a broader array that primarily promotes participative democracy. We, as citizens, shall also enhance our societal influence and efficacy. This, maybe through active involvement in socio-political organizations and civic unions.

SECTION 3.

We need to inform other Filipinos about the laws and bylaws of the Constitution. More importantly, we must consign and commend ourselves of educating the marginalize regarding their rights and its counterpart duties.

SECTION 4.

We, Filipinos, should be accountable with our actions. Every Filipino must be responsible enough to let himself acquire sufficient knowledge that he will need in order to discover the charges he can file against those seizing his things and himself without full consent and affirmation.

SECTION 5.

We should learn to respect other's privacy as others were respecting ours. We must learn not to violate theirs as they ruminate and cogitate our rights. In any means, written or oral communication, we must purposely protect our public safety. Law of Reciprocity applies here in the Philippines, our actions beget its deserved opposite reactions.

SECTION 6.

We should learn to demarcate the issues where to comment into; we need to bound and construe ourselves with the things we address publicly. Moreover, every Filipino should have had discovered how to become accountable with the statements he makes. Everyone should be responsible and aware enough that he must speak the truth that was based to facts and not to mere projections only.

SECTION 7.

Given the freedom to organize religiously, we must learn to respect other beliefs and preferences. Moreover, we must discover the proper way of responsible dereliction to reach our religious aims and goals. On one hand, we must also recognize both private and public sectors' toil in forming associations bounded by ideological principles. Considering that act, our efforts will somehow boost their low confidence of defying and modifying our systems of standards. Through that, we unconsciously contribute in transforming this country into a nation.

SECTION 8.

We need to demand our government its lacking transparency and accountability. As a citizen, we, as a group, need to be very cognizant and sentient with our country's economic situation and political disposition. Moreover, we must eager ourselves to know the public information that concern the welfare of our people.

SECTION 9.

We need to obliged ourselves to register and cast our pride-priced votes during election periods. Moreover, we should learn how actively participate with socio-civic affairs.

SECTION 10.

We, Filipinos, should learn how to value, protect and preserve every human life. Also, one must discover how to properly exercise his liberty through prudish acts towards other people. Moreover, every Filipino should be responsible enough in order to protect himself from unlawful mental, social and political exploitations.

SECTION 11.

We must consider ourselves as the best-qualified solutions to our inquiries. Further,we must cogitate that the Filipino race was a capable group of making things, both small and big, happen. Moreover, we should contemplate that this nationality can and will prove something in the end.


SECTION 12.

“Building a strong and progressive nation requires less amount of money; it’s more of the citizen’s united and collaborative efforts that really make substantial and distinctly recognizable differences.” We, Filipinos, should believe in each other's skills and capacities. Because if not, who else will? We were given rights in order to be confident and be responsible with our actions. We must learn to convert our individual efforts into bulk of collective brilliant thoughts.

The Bill of Responsibilities, that is published in 'Right Said... Responsibility Says!' site, serves as a partial requirements for Political Science 1 (POSC1) course handled by Prof. Bubbles Beverly Asor. This bill is authored by Diane Magbanua and Mark Saludares.

Bill of Responsibilities

Section 1. Loyalty, obedience, cooperation. It shall be the duty of the citizen to be loyal to the Federal Republic of the Philippines and to honor the Philippine flag, to defend the State and contribute to its development and welfare, to uphold the Constitution and obey the laws, pay taxes, and to cooperate with the duly constituted authorities in the attainment and preservation of a peaceful, just and orderly society.

Section 2. Correlative duty. The rights of the individual impose upon him or her the correlative duty to exercise them responsibly and with due regard for the rights of others.

Section 3. Human life, dignity, rights. Citizens shall respect the life and dignity of every human person and help uphold human rights whenever these are threatened or violated. The State and the citizens shall prevent and prohibit the killing of humans in any form and for whatever purpose. Extend help to your fellowmen. No matter how small you think your help may be, it is still a help.

Section 4. Duty to work. It shall be the duty of every citizen to engage in gainful work and to work well to assure himself/herself and his/her family a life worthy of human dignity.

Section 5. Civic, political participation. It shall be the duty and obligation of every citizen qualified to vote to register and cast his or her vote at every election, to participate actively in other public and civic affairs, and to contribute to good governance, honesty and integrity in the public service and the vitality and viability of democracy. Citizens shall enhance their civic efficiency and political effectiveness by their involvement in people's organizations, non-governmental organizations, civic and professional associations, community associations, or political parties, as well as in discussions on public issues.

Section 6. Promote equity, social justice. In their own homes, in the workplace, and in their various organizations and institutions, citizens shall cooperate in the promotion of equity and social justice for the good of all.

Section 7. Responsibility of youth. The youth shall assume their responsibility in developing their social, economic, intellectual and moral well-being. They shall develop their patriotism and nationalism and their civic and political competence in order to serve the common good and national interest and their own welfare.

Section 8. Health, ecology, environment. Citizens shall exercise their right to a balanced and healthful ecology, and contribute to the maintenance of a clean, enjoyable and sustainable environment.

Section 9. Be of service in the Philippines and not in other countries. The Philippines has molded and shaped you to become who you are, and the only way you can express your gratitude is to work here for its people - your fellowmen.

Section 10. Patronize locally produced goods. For every local product that you buy, you help local industries maintain and continue their business and consequently help your fellowmen sustain their family's source of living.

Bill of Responsibilities
(Thirteen responsibilities that we should partake.)

Section 1. (a)Respect your parents and obey their commands.
(b)Be a good parent to your children.
(c)Love your brothers and sisters.

Section 2. Respect the elders and those officials in the local government units
(LGU's), non-government officials (NGO) and private sector.

Section 3. Respect your own and others' religion as well as the church.

Section 4. (a)Learn and participate in conserving the environment.
(b)Participate in campaigns toward saving the electricity.

Section 5. Develop your sense of ownership.

Section 6. (a)Don't be greedy, help the poor and your fellowmen.
(b)Give service to society, to the utmost of its capacity.

Section 7. Obey the laws of our country.

Section 8. Support and patronize your country's products.

Section 9. Work honestly and diligently.

Section 10. Promote exemplary leadership.

Section 11. (a)Engage and be aware in political issues.
(b)Practice your right as a voter.
(c)Elect worthy political candidate.

Section 12. Serve your country by working for at least two (2) to five (5) years.

Section 13. Learn and comprehend the history of your country.

BILL OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Section 1. (1) One shall be a good member of his family.
(2) One shall be a good parent.
(3) One shall remain faithful to his spouse and children.

Section 2. Efforts to discover his talents and develop his skills and contribute to the betterment of our country shall be made.

Section 3. One shall respect his teachers.

Section 4. One shall strive harder and smarter to finish his/her studies excellently.

Section 5. Others' religious beliefs shall be respected.

Section 6. Serve as a good example to everyone.

Section 7. Pay taxes honestly.

Section 8. Support all the projects of the government.

Section 9. One shall report crimes that happen within the range of his eyes.

Section 10. Practice honesty, trustworthiness, and loyalty to country.

Section 11. (1) Love and respect countrymen especially the community.
(2) Respect and protect the rights and property of others.

Section 12. One shall be cooperative with the state and whole-heartedly follow all the laws that it implements

Section 13. Take part in the voting process. Vote according to ideology not for any other reason.

Section 14. One shall patronize his/her country's products.

Section 15. Service to our country shall be willingly rendered.

Section 16. Duties shall be performed in accordance to the magna carta of his profession.

Section 17. One shall respect and accept men of all races.
